Odor Control
Recent Work:In the wastewater industry, there are hundreds of different products, equipment packages and methods of odor control. Often a value cannot be placed on good customer relations. Keeping odors to a minimum at collection stations, lift stations and treatment plants can be a full time job. Odor control is also gaining momentum in the utility industry because it is also closely related to maintenance and repair costs.
Over many years, ESI has tried many mechanical, chemical and process techniques as methods of odor control. Some work, some simply do not. If the cause of the odor is not known, a study is needed (often a simple venture) to determine the best method and practice.
In most cases, odors can be traced to Sulfur Dioxide and/or grease. ESI has also been diligent enough to find a product that retards SO2 development (keeping it in solution and therefore lowering downstream treatment costs) as well as a grease treatment. Most grease treatments emulsify greases, which simply transfers the grease downstream. This only moves the problem and often causes more problems, especially at the wastewater treatment plant.
Of the best alternatives for many systems has been the advent of a product that has been around for many years and is starting to gain recognition. The product is BIOENERGIZER®. (link) Hundreds of studies show who BIOENERGIZER can treat and remove grease. It is an environmentally safe, non-bacteria, product that simply forces the enzymes already found in any system work harder. Call for more information or click on the link.
